We Love Raspberries!

Since our founding in 1949 Kozlowski Farms has proudly acknowledged our origins as a raspberry farm. As the years have progressed, our founder and matriarch Carmen Kozlowski, has continued to create countless recipes for jams, jellies, baked goods and even fudge, from the beloved fruit that helped to establish Kozlowski Farms so many years ago. In 1995 we reluctantly replaced our aging raspberry plants with various types of other crops, finally settling on Pinot Noir wine grapes. Though we no longer grow raspberries we can’t help but think of ourselves as a raspberry farm, this sentiment is reflected is our ever increasing line of specialty foods and pies. Many of our products are made with our favorite fruit, the raspberry. From Red Raspberry & Peach Pie, to Red Raspberry Vinegar, Red Raspberry Oatmeal Squares, syrup, jam, spread, chipotle sauce…you get the picture, we love raspberries!

Our production of so many raspberry based goods required us to look to other farms to supply the berry. Kozlowski Farms has had a wonderful relationship with Berry Acres, a family owned and operated farm much like ours, for many years. Frank and Marilyn DeVries, together with their children, produce all the raspberries that find their way into Kozlowski Farms specialty foods. The article below was written by their daughter Melinda, who decided to chronicle the busy raspberry harvest of 2010. This young lady details perfectly just how much hard work goes into farming this temperamental but delicious fruit.

Things have been really busy here at the farm. First we harvested the Gravenstein Apples now is the time for Golden Delicious Apples. In the middle of the apple our Pinot Noir Grapes were harvested. Lets see what am I missing??? Oh our retail store is getting ready for the holiday season...Here is a peek of all the cute fall items now available in the store..

Visit us at the farm for some Fresh CCOF Organically grown Gravenstein Apples. The Gravenstein apple is considered by many to be one of the best all-around apples with a sweet, tart flavor and is especially good for baking and cooking. YUM!

If you are in the Sebastopol area on August 9 & 10 stop by and visit us at the Gravenstein Apple Fair. You can see the Gravenstien Apples in action. We will have our selection of Homemade fresh from the farm pies, tarts, strudel, fresh squeezed apple cider and many more goodies..Stop by and say "HI".

Celebrate 232 years of our nations independence with a picnic under the stars, watching fireworks.

Picnic ingredients: Bottle of wine (of course, Kozlowski Family Vineyards Condado de Sonoma Pinot Noir Wine) , Brie cheese, bread, Kozlowski Farms Raspberry & Roasted Chipotle sauce and a great view of the sky.

Delivery Days: Monday, Thursdays and Fridays Kozlowski Farms delivers our Homemade Pies and Pie Tarts to all our local markets. Check our website for a list of stores.

**We are also in the works for our pies to be delivered mail order. Pies would be shipped Monday-Wednesday second day air only to insure freshness.

Keep a look out on our website for this in the next few weeks to have a Kozlowski Farms baked Pies delivered to your doorstep.

This weekend El Molino Little League will be selling Kozlowski Farms pies for their fun-raiser to support the team. Make sure you stop by the Forestville Youth Park’s Annual BBQ June 7th & 8th to support the team.
